Bambu PLA Pure

Only five ingredients. All food-contact safe certified.

Bambu PLA Pure 5 Ingredients Food Contact Safe Certified

Most food-contact filaments are only tested as a finished spool.

Bambu Lab PLA Pure tests every single ingredient individually.

From the base material to the pigment—just five ingredients, and each one is EU food-safe certified.

A first in its class, and still the only one.

UL GREENGUARD Certified. Cleaner air for indoor printing.

Bambu PLA Pure UL GREENGUARD Certified

PLA Pure is UL GREENGUARD (UL 2904) certified, the recognized standard for 3D printer emissions.

It emits particulate matter and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) at levels lower than your typical kitchen, living room, or office—cleaner than the air you usually breathe.

Bambu PLA Pure vs Third-Party PLA Emissions Comparison

In 4-hour continuous print tests conducted in an accredited international lab, PLA Pure produced lower PM2.5 and PM10 emissions than third-party PLA products under identical conditions.

Toy-safe certified. Designed for small hands.

Bambu PLA Pure EN 71-3 Toy Material Safety Certified

Certified to the EU Toy Material Safety Standard EN 71-3*, PLA Pure is designed for models that can be touched, held, and played with.

Think imitation dinner plates, toy trucks, cat treat puzzles, and more. PLA Pure is made for small hands and the time you spend together at home.

Designed for everyday objects.

Bambu PLA Pure Everyday Applications

Bambu PLA Pure has been tested against EU Regulation No. 10/2011, the core EU regulation for plastics in contact with food.

It is this purity that makes PLA Pure ideal for your most used items: children's toys, household tools, and small objects you frequently touch.

Proven strength.

Bambu PLA Pure Mechanical Properties and Print Strength

Fewer additives don't mean less print strength.

PLA Pure has mechanical properties comparable to Bambu PLA Basic, and its layer adhesion is on par with most PLA products on the market.

Purity and strength, without compromise.

Cleaner formula, effortless printing.

Bambu PLA Pure Clean Formula and Consistent Extrusion

Fewer additives, cleaner ingredients.

PLA Pure not only enhances safety but also results in smoother printing.

Reduced residue helps minimize nozzle clogging and ensures consistent extrusion, spool after spool.

Bambu PLA Pure Low Stringing Print Comparison

Even without prior drying, PLA Pure exhibits significantly less stringing than typical third-party PLA products.

Fewer stray threads, cleaner surfaces, and less debris mean cleaner items for your daily use.

RFID for smart printing.

Bambu PLA Pure RFID and AMS Smart Printing Application

All printing parameters are embedded in an RFID chip that can be read by the AMS (Automatic Material System).

Load, sync, print. No setup, no guesswork, just reliable print results.

Printing Tips

1. Printing Tips

Food contact certification applies to the filament itself. Producing 3D printed parts that meet food contact safety standards depends on equipment hygiene (especially the nozzle), printing environment, and other factors.

Due to layer lines, 3D printed parts are not suitable for holding liquid food.

Due to the nature of PLA, please do not expose 3D printed parts to temperatures above 60°C.

For more detailed guidance, please refer to the PLA Pure advanced printing guide on Bambu Lab Wiki.

Bambu PLA Pure is developed for FDM 3D printing with a balance between emission safety and contact safety.

When using its default profile, it provides excellent print quality and supports contact safety performance.

As actual use environments, conditions, and workflows may vary, applications requiring higher contact safety should follow additional guidelines.

2. Accessory Compatibility

Compatible with all printers, AMS, build plates, and nozzles.

For contact-safe finished parts, Bambu Liquid or Solid Glue is not recommended.

Alternatively, adhesion can be improved by increasing the bed temperature.

3. Drying Recommendations

Dry before use to ensure optimal print quality and consistent printing results.

Store in a dry environment after use. For more details, please refer to the Filament Drying instructions on the WIKI.

4. Refill Instructions

Refill filaments require a spool.

For detailed instructions on how to load new filament onto a Bambu reusable spool, please refer to the guide on the WIKI.

5. Important Notice

While this product has been tested for food contact compliance at the raw material and printed sample levels, 3D printing is a multivariate process.

The quality and safety of finished prints depend on factors such as equipment, printing environment, operating procedures, and post-processing.

Bambu Lab's responsibility is limited to the compliance and quality of the filament.

Bambu Lab and 3DMart make no express or implied warranties regarding the safety, suitability, or regulatory compliance of any product printed by users for food contact purposes.

Bambu Lab and 3DMart do not guarantee that such user-produced prints comply with any applicable food contact laws, standards, or certification requirements in any jurisdiction, and are not liable for any direct or indirect loss, claim, or liability arising from the use of these prints.
