Once the resin tank is installed, the machine reads and identifies the new material cartridge, prompting the user to open the top lid to allow resin to flow in. The machine also detects if the resin tank is installed incorrectly, preventing resin spills and cleaning hassles.
The updated PreForm software includes several new features, including Z-axis leakage compensation, which improves print accuracy for features like threads, overhangs, and bottom surfaces. Tough 2000 V2 Functional Part Printing Applications
Using Tough 2000 V2 yields excellent precision and durability. While its resolution is slightly lower than model resins, it can still produce intricate surfaces while offering higher strength and impact resistance.
PreForm automatically handles support structures; users only need to fine-tune angles, slightly reduce the number of supports, or add mini-rafts to prepare most functional parts for printing.
Tough 2000 V2 can be used to create functional parts like backpack buckles. While these parts are often produced with FDM 3D printing, the Form 4 with Tough 2000 V2 can also successfully print buckles of various sizes, maintaining good performance under load.
